Standing 4167 m in height , Morocco's Mount Toubkal holds the distinction of being the tallest mountain in North Africa and the second highest peak in Africa after Mount Kilimanjaro. Often the trip includes from two days to 3 days it starts and  finiches in the city of Marrakech,It’s a challenging walk rather than a climb, and anybody in good physical condition can reach the top .You do not need ropes to climb Mount Toubkal, which reduces the risk of the trip, and allows it for climbing enthusiasts, no matter how experienced in sport. So, even if you are not a professional, you can take the challenge without hindrance but get ready for some difficulty as you approach the top because of the length of distance you have to pass. It is worth mentioning that the mountain road is impassable and fully equipped to ensure a trip without risk.

the first day you will drive from Marrakech to Imlil where you can rent all the supplies for climbing the summit, Imlil is  within the Toubkal National Park  to Toubkal Refuge via Aremd & the Mizane Valley towards the craggy peaks and plunging valleys of the Toubkal Massif,you will pass through the tiny town of Asni,below the valley of the Oued Rhirhaia stretches out into the distance and small villages cling to the sides of the steep hills as we meander.Upon arrival in Imlil Then the real trek begins, heading along the village of Aremd and then into the shrine of Sidi Chamarouch where there are some traditional cafes and restaurants, then complete the road to Toubkal shelter where you can spend The night after the difficults of the road Approx 5hrs walking.

In the second day, early morning with the sunrise your journey to the summit begins , so prepare for a more challenging day with steeper trails, reaching the summit in about three to four hours  walking.

The Best Time to travel

Despite the possibility of climbing Mount Toubkal throught the year, some seasons remain better than others to test this interesting experience, the best months of climbing is April, May, September and October, where the climate is temperate with rare probability of rain. In the summer, high temperatures are an obstacle for some climbers, making it more difficult to experience, and winter snow is an obstacle for those looking for a smooth experience.
