The Moroccan Foreign Ministry has refused to receive Dutch Minister of State for Security and Justice,
Ankie Broekers-Knol, to discuss the deportation of hundreds of Moroccans from political asylum seekers.

The Dutch minister, during a session of her country's parliament on Thursday (21 November), said that she wanted to hold a meeting with Moroccan Foreign Minister Nasser Bourita, on the return of Moroccan asylum seekers to the Kingdom, but this meeting was canceled by the Moroccan side. She stressed that she did not know why the Moroccan side refused to hold a meeting on this subject, where she heard it indirectly through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

According to observers, the decision of Morocco to refuse to receive the Dutch minister is a sovereign decision in his place, given the Dutch positions hostile to the Kingdom, which does not respect reciprocity in security and sovereignty issues, but when it comes to the higher interests of the European country, it is seeking various ways to achieve its goals.

Moroccan-Dutch relations, beginning in 1579, have suffered a number of crises in recent years due to Dutch officials' miscalculation of Morocco.
