Moroccan Wedding ceremonies have unique customs and traditions  and are quite different than any other country, according to Moroccan traditions, the bride is the queen of  event, and they celebrate her for three consecutive days and sometimes even more in some areas like the south of Morocco .for this reason today I would  like to spot the light on these customs and traditions in all their phases: the engagement party, the Moroccan Hammam, the ceremonies of henna, the wedding party, and the dishes served to guests.

THE ENGAGEMENT PARTY

The engagement party: during this day the couple's families meet each others, the basic conditions of the wedding are determined such as the gifts, bride's clothes,  wedding details, and the most important thing SADAK which is an amount of money that is given from the groom to the bride's parents. due to the Islam conditions. during the ceremony the groom presents the gifts to his fiancee, the gifts include the wedding ring, dates, henna, perfume, clothes, and sugar.

THE MOROCCAN HAMMAM

The hammam ceremony: The bride goes with her friends and relatives, And her neighbors to the hammam, where they decorate the hammam with candles and flowers to create a space to celebrate.  what distinguishes the bath of the Moroccan bride is the presence of a group of herbs that contribute in the aesthetics of Moroccan women in general, and the Moroccan bride in particular, namely roses, henna, natural lotions, the water of rose,  and Moroccan soap...

THE CEREMONY OF HENNA

The ceremony of henna comes directly after the day of hammam .the henna is engraved in atmosphere of joy music ,and  women's songs, Henna is also a symbol of optimism Especially for the girls present at the wedding, where each one of them is looking to engrave the henna  in order to look forward to a better future.

in the wedding day, or that we call  the big night, The ceremony begins with the arrival of the bride on Ammaria, Ammaria :it is a wooden chair decorated and high, with four young men carrying it on their shoulders, And begin dancing and singing on popular rythmes in the presence of the Moroccan music band ,  then,  the bride and groom sit in the middle of the audience to receive congratulations, and have  dinner with the  groom's parents, and her family, and leave again  to wear another dress expresses a region in Morocco, at the last of the party the bride wears a white dress and she goes to the groom's house.

 DISHES SERVED TO GUESTS

During the party, a series of the most famous  Moroccan dishes are served to guests like: the couscous, grilled chicken, Moroccan chicken Tagine, Moroccan Bastillia, and tea with mint served with a Moroccan candy like Ghriba and Fekkas.
